Welcome to Suburban Dad Pop, a place to discuss all things Pop!
A few years back, I started a blog as well as contributing food, music, television, and movie content to the 614 Media Group in Columbus, OH. My wife and I had all the time in the world to go to restaurants, binge Netflix, go to the the movies, and listen to our favorite music.
And then we had a kid and moved to the suburbs.
Don’t worry, I haven’t bought a white pair of New Balance, started to edge my lawn, or begun leaving shows early to beat the traffic, but I am guilty of the following basic suburban dad crimes:
- Attending weekend Farmer’s Markets
- Grilling and smoking excessive amounts of anything edible
- Having a favorite growler
- Knowing what days my local groceries get their bourbon deliveries
In the meantime, I have continued to write about all things Pop, began cohosting a podcast, and bought A LOT more records; especially now that we are going out to eat less.
Pro Tip: When dining at a restaurant, toddlers absolutely DO NOT eat what they promise they are going to eat.
So thank you for checking out my revised blog and social media. I promise to try and write about cool and fun adult Pop, but don’t be confused when you see the occasional Bluey entry.
